Fun time with your Scouting friends!
Spend Wednesday night have fun/food/movies/games etc..
Breakfast on Thursday
Then we will head out to visit a couple of great places. We will be visiting an AWESOME Taxadermy shop in Richville that has Lions, and Tigers, and . . . . Bears, AND Rhinos, Wolves, Giraffes and more!
We will also visit the Michigan's Own War/Space Museum and finish with a special lunch in Frankenmuth!

Cost $10 - bring your own pop for Wed. night

Merit Badge College Info

Registration starts at 8am classes start at 8:50.
You must have the pre-requirements completed or have written proof of completion by a unit leader.
You must have a signed blue card - Merit Badge Book - pen/pencil and paper.

You may not leave campus for lunch - lunch is available

Family Christmas Party/Court of Honor

Please invite your family members to our annual Christmas Court of Honor.
Dinner will be served at 6:30pm with Court of Honor to follow.
This will be in the Parish Social Hall.  Everyone is welcome!

Troop Good Turn

Mr C  has been asked if Scouts from our Troop can help at Santa's big arrivial Friday at 6:30 at the Band Shell downtown.

We are needed for the Flag ceremony.  This is an important event that makes us (and Scouting) look G O O D!

Call Mr C for more info - or meet at the Shell by 6:30 in uniform.

Popcorn Orders

Popcorn orders are at the Troop Room available for pick up at Wednesdays meeting.
If you need it sooner or can't make it to the meeting - contact Mr Kula to make arraingements to pick it up.

Help Set-up for Breakfast

Help is needed on Saturday from 5 - 6:30pm to set up for the Breakfast.
Sunday you are needed to work from 7am - 1pm
The more hours you work the more $$$ you make!

Clare Witch Weekend

Looks like great weather for a campout this weekend!
Hope everyone is planning on joining us for the weekend as Camp Rotary hosts "Clare Witch" a haunted trail ride through the camp - ending with treats at the dining hall!
Troop is leaving from the Troop Room on Friday at 5:30pm - and will return Sunday morning.  (if you can't make it up Friday night - please head up anytime on Saturday)

Day Hike

McKinley Day Hike
- hike a portion of the Shore-to-Shore Trial October 15th. (weather permiting)

Troop will leave Saturday morning and hike along the AuSable River high banks area. Great for begining hikers - Fun for our experienced guys.  Wiil cook on the trail and spend the night, returning Sunday morning.

Visitation Parish Chicken Dinner

Our Chartered Organization - Visitation Parish - is holding their annual Buffet Chicken Dinner this Sunday, October 9th from 11am - 6pm.
Cost $9.00 Adults, ages 6-12 $5.00 and under 5 Free. 

The Scouts of our Troop help by making the mashed potatos, veggies and help serve drinks and trash clean up.  Because of the length of service we are looking for a shift to help in the morning and a shift to help later in the day.  Please let Mr C or Mr Kula know when you are available.

Cancelled Camporee - New Plans

So sorry to announce that the Troop is unable to attend the Fall Camporee this weekend.  Mr Kula and Mr C are unable to be there.

But....
we are looking at taking a day hike/overnighter on Oct 15th-16th.

And of course don't forget about Clare Witch Oct. 21st-23rd!

mini Committee Meeting Sunday nite at 5pm to get things ready for our Court of Honor on Wed.  At 5:30 Scouts are requested to help get things ready for our campout this coming weekend at Hessel.   Important that current and new SPL & ASPL are present.
